A Willowdale Wedding with an Abundance of Greenery

For the most part, spring has sprung in our neck of the woods, and as we head into our busy season packed full with summer and fall weddings, one thing we’re sure to see is plenty of greenery. Whether it’s fresh flowers blooming in the spring, or the abundance of greenery seen all summer long, there are few things we love more than to be able to incorporate nature’s finest elements into our wedding plans and designs.

So there’s no better time than now to walk down memory lane and revisit this wedding photoshoot we styled at Willowdale Estate. From hand lettered leaves to walnut shaped chocolates, this shoot incorporated nature's finest everywhere you looked. The simplicity and style highlighted in this shoot is a great inspiration for brides to be looking to include greenery or natural elements in their celebrations.

Weddings at Willowdale Estate

Willowdale Estate, located on 4 acres of Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield, MA was the perfect backdrop for our vision of including 'the elements’ in this styled wedding photoshoot.  With its historic surroundings and craftsman and tudor architecture, this event and wedding venue is sure to provide an unbeatable elegance for your next New England wedding.

Depending on the size, style, and time of year of your wedding, you’ll work with Willowdale Estate during one of their two wedding “seasons”. Tent Season from May-October is perfect for parties between 120-240 guests, and their Mansion Season from November-April is better suited for smaller parties between 80-125 guests inside their Estate.

For our styled wedding photoshoot, we worked primarily within the mansion and estate, but captured beautiful wedding photographs of the bride and groom outside on Willowdale’s lush, wooded grounds.

Natural Elements Made Elegant

We worked with a wide range of wedding vendors and professionals to pull together this shoot, and our industry bestie A. Fogarty Photography captured it all in perfect detail. Amanda captured the details of the property’s stonework, the candlelit dinner table,  the floral enveloped dessert table, and the distinct wooden invitations.

Even the bride embraced the day’s theme by detailing her hair with greenery while posing flawlessly with her husband around the mansion and outdoors. The bride wore a modern fit and flare dress provided by Blush Bridal & Formal. A simple yet elegant updo with sweeping curls was done by Jennifer Tawa, and Dani Wagener completed the bride’s look with her bridal makeup.
