Styled Shoot at Chebeague Island Inn
Surrounded by natural beauty and serving as an escape from the main land, Chebeague Island Inn will call you and your guests away for a long weekend of family, friends, and romance. This idyllic island getaway provides the perfect backdrop for a magical wedding. We had a wonderful time shooting this beautiful couple with A.Fogarty Photography to show you how a weekend on Chebeague Island will have all your guests raving.
An Island Welcome
We wanted to show couples how they can be inspired to treat themselves and their guests to an island getaway wedding right here in Maine. Guests arrive via ferry or water taxi and are welcome to start off their weekend on the golf course or enjoying a bike ride around the island (the Inn provides them!). Greet your guests in style with a welcome bag filled with local treats.
Beachside Ceremony
The Chebeague Island Inn offers a few different choices when it comes to the ceremony. Couples can have a romantic wedding in front of the Inn or exchange their vows on the beach. For this shoot, Cider House Designs created a unique and custom driftwood, candles, and beach grass horseshoe arbor in place of the traditional arbor, which just only added perfectly to the Maine beach wedding theme.
Tasty Treats to Add to the Weekend Itinerary
In this shoot, our couple enjoyed their own signature cocktail: the Maine Blueberry Lemonade. This sweet and summery drink tastes as good as it looks! The “sunset landing bites” were also a great addition to the shoot and would be for a rehearsal dinner served on the porch or bar. Guests can sip and nibble on these treats as they watch the sun set from the Inn’s adirondack chairs.
Picnic on the Lawn
To end the shoot, the couple enjoyed a romantic picnic on the Inn’s lawn to celebrate a weekend well-spent! From beach ceremonies, to lawn picnics, Chebeague Island is a beautiful spot to invite guests for a weekend wedding. This beautiful venue will give any couple the Maine island wedding of their dreams.
