Jillian and Sam’s Friday evening welcome party set the tone for a vibrant August wedding weekend with a quintessential Maine lobster bake at Diamond’s Edge on Great Diamond Island. Guests boarded the Bay Mist ferry at Casco Bay Lines in Portland, sipping champagne as they made their way across the water to the island celebration. After docking, guests took a short walk to the tent site, where they were met with a cheerful seaside palette of pinks, oranges, and yellows. Tables dressed in printed linens were layered with colorful florals and fresh citrus, while thoughtful details like rattan napkin rings, table lamps, and glowing paper lanterns overhead added texture and warmth. Following a few celebratory toasts from the couple and their families, guests indulged in a classic Maine lobster bake, complete with custom bibs featuring the couple’s names. This joy-filled wedding welcome party perfectly captured the spirit of summer on the Maine coast and offered guests a glimpse into the effortless elegance that was yet to come.
